Billboard and poster images behind the scenes shoot of the filming for the ‘Live Another Day’ promo.
Like ninjas armed with cameras, Harley and Susie did an amazing job stealthly covering the entire production with a clear vision and a wonderful attitude. I’m truly amazed at the quality of the prints … Looking forward to the next chance to work together.”
Julio Cabra, Vice President, On-Air Creative at Fox Broadcasting
When we were commissioned by Generator Films for Three One O Production and Fox TV to shoot behind the scenes and document the story of the promo film/super bowl ad for the new 24 series (‘live another day’), we had no idea that our phone would be full of texts from Fox Broadcasting in LA requesting the images urgently to use in their worldwide ad campaign. We had just arrived for a few days break in Lyme Regis and had to turn around and drive straight back to Oxford to send the images over to make the deadline. Our pictures from the dramatic London scene, with such great symbolic Brit iconography, a street in the City of London, the Gherkin, an overturned and blazing black cab sporting a union jack, were seen everywhere from Billboards in downtown Dallas, the Paris Metro to European cities. As well as the billboards the image was everywhere on websites and social media, it is still the cover photos for the 24 facebook page, IMDb page, itunes and is used for merchandise and box sets. Here are a few versions of the campaign image we shot and a small selection of our behind the scenes images.
24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY – FOX BROADCASTING
“Working with Harley and Susie is truly a gift, not only because they are amazing photographers who are discreet while knowing where to be and when, but also because looking through their images after a shoot is like opening presents.” Golareh Safarian, Vice President of Production Special Ops at Fox Broadcasting
“Behind the scenes photography is difficult at best, as a photographer you have to be stealthy and creative with what’s given to you….I’ve met and worked with some of the best of these photographers and never have worked with anyone better… ” Norry Niven, Director, Three One O Production
Below are some images that we didn’t shoot showing a few of the key billboard locations we were kindly sent. In sequence they are: billboard – downtown Dallas, Billboard at Fox Broadcasting seen from the parking lot in LA, a Bus stop in Paris and Kiefer signing the poster of our image at the at a US trade fair (comicon).
Wow – you guys are awesome!!
